EIGHTY.

Here's your daily dose of boho! That's the problem with winter time, bohemian styling is nearly impossible.  Because it usually calls for layers of lighter materials, and inappropriate-for-snow-footwear.  But now that spring is here, that version of Kameleon is back!

SEVENTY-NINE.

Sunglasses season is right around the corner! One of my favorite designers is Thierry Lasry, and he has teamed up with Fendi to release four different sunglasses for their capsule collection.  Two styles in two different colors, it was not an easy choice! These are the Fashion Show Tricolor in orange, they are truly a work of art.  The marbled black, orange, and clear acetate create a different design from every angle.  I might have to snatch up another pair before the limited supply is all gone!

SEVENTY-EIGHT.

Today I introduce to you- Kora Rae Three Ways!  I have been wanting to do a post like this for a while, and when I saw this leather and mesh top I was ready. A little bit about Kora Rae first:

Kora Rae, a recently rescued and adopted tiger cub sponsored by the clothing lines visionary/ head designer Rachel Turzer; is rooted in Branson, Missouri's National Tiger Sanctuary.   A  percentage of all clothing proceeds are donated to this lucky cub. Says Rachel,  "The woman wearing Kora Rae embodies the psyche of the tiger: she's fearless, powerful, beautiful and independent in every aspect of her life, including what she wears."

The pieces are likened to wearable art as Kora Rae utilizes the finest European silks and leathers with local New York craftsmanship. This melding of the traditional – hand embroidery by the craftsmen of the Dasbagha Village in  Eastern India – with modern silhouettes and colors, for the modern, jet-setting woman.

So on that note, I present to you three fearless ways to wear the Laurena top.  The first look is your lunch date or office wear look. Although I don't know very much about 9-5 rules, so the skirt might need to be a tad longer.... (whoops!)  The second look is a fun, sporty look, to wear shopping or maybe a casual dinner.  And lastly is my "romantic date" outfit.  I can't get enough silver so I figured why not put together a (mostly) head-to-toe look featuring this beloved color.

There are many more luxurious pieces that I love from Kora Rae. Well- tailored with exquisite materials at a great price point, I am a fan!  Stay posted for more outfits showing the versatility of Kora Rae's pieces...

SEVENTY-SEVEN.

Tasteful ways to show off your skin? Count me in! I instantly fell in love with this Ted Baker skirt when I saw it, not only because of the unique color-blocking, but because of its versatility (I know, I know, I'm always blabbing about that but its the smartest way to make the most of your closet!) So yea, like I was saying, this skirt can be worn a.m. to p.m.; zipped, unzipped, heels or flats!

Happy Rainy Friday! I know that its science and all.. blah blah the rain brings the flowers. But can a girl dreaming of open-toed shoes get a break? Anyways, my best friend asked me the other day for spring jacket suggestions.  Although she specifically said she didn't like trench coats, I think that this cropped version is so on point!  The only problem is that its more of a late spring jacket (its not very warm..)  But hey, its supposed to be 68 on Monday; so open toes and jackets-that-aren't-really-jackets it is!

SEVENTY-FIVE.

This is by far my favorite shoot I've done thus far.  The photographer came up with the "fur coat and bare legs" concept; and I was of course immediately on board.  I drew inspiration from bohemian 70's elements, but wanted to add a modern twist.  Soft fur and bouncy curls with a bondage-like playsuit and chain gladiator stiletto's...  Its all so perfectly juxtaposed and chaotic that it ultimately makes perfect sense.

SEVENTY-FOUR.

Every once in a while, I get the urge to dress like a lady... Hard to believe I know.   This skirt has so many interesting colors and textures in it, I have styled it many different ways.  This is obviously my "ladies who lunch" look, I choose to highlight the coral in the skirt and bring it out through my shoes and lipstick.  Great trick to try this Spring!

SEVENTY-THREE.

I am very excited to release the first look I styled in collaboration with MODELLAUNCHER Cosmetics! A little bit about this unique company:

Established in 2012, MODELLAUNCHER is the premiere cosmetics company of South Beach. With products hand-selected by make-up artists and fashion models, their line epitomizes the coveted glamor of the South Beach lifestyle.

MODELLAUNCHER’s online modeling competitions offer a unique platform for would-be models around the world to compete for a chance to win their GRAND PRIZE which includes round-trip airfare from wherever in the world you are, a 2-day stay at a premium Miami hotel, a professional photo shoot by a renowned fashion photographer, professional hair, wardrobe styling, and MODELLAUNCHER make-up.

------------------------

I will give you a breakdown of this grungy meets glamorous look I created using their high-end cosmetics.  Orange eyeshadow is this seasons red, and I wanted to create a wearable look using this intimidating color.  Here is how its done:

Face/Base:  I used a tinted moisturizer, then used a flat buffing brush to apply MODELLAUNCHER Baked Hydrating Powder Foundation in Light/ Medium. For any spots that needed extra coverage, I dotted on their Dual Action Concealer in Light/ Medium.  Between these two products, my face was completely covered, but never felt caked on.  Also, check out how well it stayed on after dunking underwater!

Contour:  I used MODELLAUNCHER Contour Powder Duo in First Crush to contour.  I like to minimize the amount of containers I need to haul around with me for touch-ups, so a bronzer and blush combined in one is the perfect solution.  I applied a tiny amount of blush on the apples of my cheek with a bushy brush. Using multiple brush sizes; I contoured under the check bone, on the jawline, hairline, and along the sides of my nose.  Using powder bronzer to contour is not only fool-proof, it is also less harsh then using foundation sticks.

Eyes:  Here comes the fun part!  This look is super easy to achieve..  I first applied MODELLAUNCHER Kashmir Kolor in Calais in the crease of my eye, but the key is to bring the stroke down on both corners of the eye (grunge!).  Then I blended this color out to make it more soft, even bringing it down under the bottomlashes.  Using a firm eyeshadow brush, I pated MODELLAUNCHER Jetset Shadow in Indian Creek on the middle of my eyelid, blending out towards the other eyeshadow.  These eyeshadow are very pigmented and build-able, so its up to you how on how intense you want your look to be!  I finished the eyes off with a coat of MODELLAUNCHER Luxury Mascara in Black Brown, and a swipe of MODELLAUNCHER SuperWear Gel Liner in Sienna under the bottom lashes. I tend to lean towards brown mascara and liner for looks that container lighter eyeshadow colors, it also compliments light colored eyes really well.  The mascara is not cakey and stays put, while the liner has a super smooth application because of its gel consistency.

Lips:  I find myself gravitating towards these brown, nude, taupe and mauve lipsticks that I used to make fun of my mom for wearing in the 90's.  Oh well, we all know Mom's are ALWAYS right.  Anyways, I applied MODELLAUNCHER Automatic Long Lasting Lipliner in Cappuccino, and then MODELLAUNCHER Fashion Forward Lipstick in Divine. I pressed on some transparent powder and then applied another coat to make it more matte and also help it stay put.  The creamy texture of the lipstick is so easy to apply, and the color is so versatile.

-------------------------------
I really love all of the cosmetics from MODELLAUNCHER.  With their price point equal to Mac, I expected similar quality and (shhh) it's better!  Even their packaging is sleek and on point, and I love the metal containers that the lipsticks come in.  If you guys want to check them out (which you better) use my promo code DJKAMELEON at check out to receive 25% off! Check out their website for more great products and entry into modelling competitions as well!
